Position Overview
Northrop Grumman is hiring an Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer based in Baltimore, MD. The role includes providing technical assistance for the installation and test support of a phased array sensor system on a platform. After one year in Baltimore, successful candidates will travel to a U.S. West Coast location for a two?year assignment. The position requires a current active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct post?installation shop floor system testing in coordination with other platform systems.
- Provide pre?mission system test support.
- Collect, evaluate, and report on test results.
- Troubleshoot system and test?set electrical, electronic, and test software.
- Recommend corrective action for system repairs.
- Develop equipment design and procedural changes to improve safety and efficiency.
- Provide direction / oversight during the conduct of work performed by repair technicians.
- Support operational missions and provide assistance at other field sites and test facilities.
- Participate in customer meetings at customer locations.
- Shift work may be required based on operational needs.
Basic Qualifications Electronics Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.At least 2 years of experience with airborne AESA radar / communications systems, Electrical Engineering or System Engineering.Must have U.S. Citizenship.Must possess a current active Secret Security Clearance and be able to maintain it for continued employment.Willingness to work on an occasional rotating schedule, including periodic shift and weekend work as required.Willingness to support occasional travel up to 10% within CONUS and OCONUS.Basic Qualifications Principal Electronics Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.At least 2 years of experience with airborne AESA radar / communications systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or System Engineering.Must have U.S. Citizenship.Must possess a current active Secret Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of employment.Willingness to work on an occasional rotating schedule, including periodic shift and weekend work as required.Willingness to support occasional travel up to 10% within CONUS and OCONUS.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in integration and test techniques, MATLAB, or related signal analysis tools, including interfacing protocols, test equipment, and customer interaction.Experience with RF and radar technologies.Compensation
Primary level : $85,400.00 $128,000.00. Secondary level : $105,400.00 $158,000.00.
