We are seeking a strategic Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of a dynamic, multi-location manufacturing company serving the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in job costing , inventory management, and cost accounting for engineered components and parts. This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decision-making and maintaining financial integrity across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, A / P, A / R, payroll, and compliance
- Lead and implement robust job costing methodologies to accurately evaluate profitability at the part, product, and project levels
- Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, margins, and inventory valuation across multiple locations
- Provide financial forecasting, budgeting, and monthly / quarterly financial statements with insightful analysis
- Collaborate closely with operations and engineering teams to align cost accounting practices with production realities
- Ensure internal controls are effective and adhered to company-wide
- Manage a distributed accounting team and coordinate intercompany transactions and reporting
- Support year-end audit preparation and tax compliance in collaboration with external firms
- Develop and maintain reporting tools for real-time visibility into product and production costs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing or industrial settingDemonstrated expertise in job costing, standard costing , and cost accounting principlesExperience in multi-site operations and intercompany financial reportingStrong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, or equivalent) and Microsoft ExcelHighly analytical with excellent attention to detail and communication skillsPhysical Demands : While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds.
