Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification for an acute care setting utilizing Epic EMR.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care occupational health department
  • Day shift position with 10-hour shifts
  • On-call and weekend coverage required as needed
  • Expect to float to other areas or sites as required
  • Care for patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders
  • Responsibilities include mobility training, strengthening, manual therapy, and neuromuscular re-education
  • EpicCare Inpatient EMR is used in this setting
  • Provide diagnostic, prognostic, and rehabilitative interventions tailored to patient needs
  • Utilize sensorimotor and neuromuscular activities to promote independence in ADLs
  • Training includes 12 hours of orientation with expectation to be in-state for the initial week
  • Available to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and after-hours shifts
  • Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed by the facility or associated facilities within the past year unless PRN through outside firms

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active state or compact (NLC) Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant occupational therapy experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred
  • Driver’s license must be provided for consideration
  • Two professional references required : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
