We are looking for a Systems Engineer II to join our IT Team. The Systems Engineer II will be responsible for helping design and implement solutions for customers while providing tier II support
for HPE ProLiant and Synergy hardware, VMware vSphere virtualized platforms, Microsoft and Linux
based operating systems. The Systems Engineer II will complete the installation, configuration and
maintenance of customers’ hardware and software in production and disaster recovery environments
and provide technical support. The engineer also assists with platform and application monitoring and backups. The engineer performs these duties under general supervision.
Responsibilities :
- Provision customer configurations including :
- Applying hardware firmware upgrades
- Racking and cabling equipment
- Loading operating systems
- Applying configurations
- Creating and updating documentation
- Implement reliable server-based solutions for customers utilizing the best of breed Microsoft, Linux, VMware and HPE technologies
- Install new software releases, system upgrades
- Work directly with customers to ensure the delivery of stable solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software related problems
- Monitor system configurations to ensure compliance with CyrusOne standards and ensure customer data integrity
- Escalate any issues that prevent timely delivery
- Participate in the development of products and standards
- Maintain and further knowledge of hardware and operating system deployment standards and best practices via self-directed research and training
- Participate in the 24 x 7 on-call support rotation
Qualifications :
