Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job description :

• Assist with performing tests and providing restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and at home to maximize participant independence, safety, and enhance performance of ADLs.
• Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Administer participants' treatment programs as established by the occupational therapist.
• Assist the occupational therapist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants' individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants' treatment, clinical visits, and billing.
• Track and maintain equipment maintenance.
• Deliver and document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with the Occupational Therapists established care plans, including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance and endurance, and other factors affecting the level of independence in performing ADLs.
