Manage automated ETL / report schedules, deployments, and version control. Implement data validation, profiling, cleansing, and quality checks. Ensure compliance with security policies, encryption, auditing, and access control. Work with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to define requirements. Participate in sprint ceremonies : planning, standups, refinement, reviews. Deliver incremental work aligned with Agile practices. Use Jira Software for issue tracking and sprint planning. Leverage Azure DevOps (ADO) for pipelines, version control, and work item management. Support continuous improvement of automated build / deployment processes. Work closely with dev, infrastructure, and BI teams to ensure smooth integration. Provide production support and perform root-cause analysis for DB issues. Contribute to long-term modernization and architectural planning. 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server 2012, 2019, 2022 . Strong expertise in SSIS and SSRS development and optimization. Advanced SQL Server performance tuning & indexing experience. Experience in Agile / Scrum development environments. Proficiency with Jira Software for task tracking. Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) : repos, pipelines, CI / CD. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with ETL modernization or data warehousing. Familiarity with DevOps automation tools & DB deployment frameworks. Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and governance principles. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver under deadlines. Effective time management in fast-paced environments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong documentation and communication skills.

💼 Position Overview
We are seeking two (2) Senior Database Developers to support the modernization and maintenance of the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).
This role is ideal for a highly experienced SQL Server professional with strong SSIS / SSRS expertise, deep performance-tuning skills, and experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
You will work alongside cross-functional teams to design scalable data solutions, modernize ETL pipelines, improve performance, and ensure reliability and security across mission-critical state systems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1 SQL Server Development & Optimization
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases (2012, 2019, 2022).
- Build advanced stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
- Perform performance tuning including index optimization & execution plan analysis.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high database availability.
