Security Equipment, Inc. is seeking skilled and dedicated Technician Apprentice's to join our team. As a Technician Apprentice, you will assist on the job site, as needed, with the installation of Burglar Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems, and IP Video Surveillance Systems while working under the close supervision of a more Senior Technician or Project Manager. The Technician Apprentice will have the ability to advance their career as an Installation Technician as they gain knowledge, skills, and abilities The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Completing all assigned duties while learning from the Senior Technicians and Project Managers
• Traveling out to various public and private spaces to assist Technicians, Senior Technicians and Project Managers
• Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks
• Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other areas as required
• Interpret blueprints and schematics
• Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, door frames and wall cavities, then position cables for strapping
• Inspect installation sites, study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements to ensure installation procedures have been met
• Install security systems and related equipment, to include cabling, control panels, security devices and video cameras
• Test circuits and sensors to ensure proper functionality
• Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed
