TITLE : Teacher Special Education Cross Categorical Resource (Part Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION :

To create a flexible program favorable to learning and personal growth for the student in the least restrictive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Arizona Special Education Cross Categorical Teacher certification
• Master Degree in special Education (preferred)
• Knowledge of special education laws procedures practices materials equipment and compliance standards required to provide appropriate learning experiences for special education students. Good knowledge of the nature and effects of the impairment(s) in all areas of disability
• Ability to assess needs develop and implement the IEP and evaluate outcomes in specialty
• Ability to coordinate activities with related and specialist staff
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers parents and the community; excellent human relations skills; skill in both oral and written communication; ability to work in multicultural environment with diverse population of students staff and parents
• May be required to control certain behavior(s) through physical restraint
• Maintain current NCI First Aid and CPR certification
• Computer proficiency in district designated computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office MET and IEP software programs and other relevant software
