Job Description :

GliaCell is seeking a Mid-Level  Software Engineer  on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

Key Requirements :

To be considered for this position you must have the following :

• U.S. Citizenship.
• 10 years of experience plus a Bachelor’s in computer science (or related field) or 14 years without the degree
• Works well independently as well as on a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Key Skills :

• Required :  Software architecture and design planning. DevOps or sustainment / life-cycle management of system-operational software or services. Telemetry data. Implementing and documenting dataflow or system-telemetry pipeline. Dara movement and volume estimations. Linux, Linux tools, Bash scripting. Programming in Python. Supports work across teams to write or enable queries for specialized metrics collection products and ensure that system performance is maintained. Leadership skills and / or experience with leading an effort. Communicative, collaborative, and organized. Familiar with and able to perform full software-development lifecycle support with version-control tools (Git, GitLab). Works independently, as well as with a team, to ensure that all components are functioning properly. Will stay abreast of latest industry trends in both open source and commercial metrics and monitoring solutions. Supports determination of if-and-when to incorporate them into an IaC solution. Willing to and able to learn new tools and protocols.

Desired : Splunk, Elastic, syslog-ng, ryslog, Kafka, Logstash, and / or Ansible. Message brokers and data movement tools. Data analysis.

Salary Range :  The salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 to $200,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred position during the hiring process. SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE.
