Job Title : Seasonal Travel RN - Pediatrics

Comfortable with high flow oxygen, spinal fusions, and chest tubes

Description :

This is a seasonal travel RN position in the pediatrics unit.

The unit has 36 private rooms with accommodations for parents.

The unit is staffed with a charge nurse during day and night shifts.

Staffing on day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse and 1-3 patient care technicians.

Night shifts usually include 1 charge nurse and 1-2 patient care technicians.

The patient ratios consist of 1 : 3 for step-down patients and 1 : 4 for basic care patients.

The equipment used includes Phillips monitors and the EMR is Meditech.

Candidates must be willing to work night shifts if they are new travelers.

Preferred candidates include those with multiple years of travel experience.

Typical procedures performed include NGT insertions, Foley catheter placements, and phlebotomy.

There is an emphasis on teamwork and being willing to ask for help when needed.

The department values flexibility in scheduling for travelers.

All types of patients are accepted except for trauma and burn cases.

The team fosters a fun atmosphere where everyone feels included.
