Senior Software Developer

BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Software Developer who is skilled to succeed in both the area of refinement type development as well as developing and coding in a maintenance-type of environment. The Senior Software Developer will work independently on a technical team of other engineers to collaborate with. He or she will be coding in C# and must demonstrate strong Typescript front-end framework experience, preferably in Angular but also accepted are Vue or React. The Senior Software Developer will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining web and windows applications based on this customer's driven requirements for the purpose of querying and reporting on customer owned assets.

Our Senior Software Developer will design, maintain and implement government off the shelf (GOTS) software designed to use particular methodologies required to meet specific procedural requirements. The Senior Software Developer will design, maintain, and implement original software applications from a high-level, non-specific set of concepts provided by the government. The Developer will develop applications of large and complex software (and systems) and web-based query and reporting systems. The day-to-day responsibilities include :

• Contribute to system-level design and partitioning in order to optimize overall system performance and reliability
• Translate detailed design into computer software
• Test, debug, and refine computer software to produce the required product
• Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation
• Enhance software to reduce operating times or improve efficiency
• Provide full life cycle support for software including user interaction

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Capable of identifying technical strategies to interpret disparate software applications by authoring original software programs

Can lead all phases of software development, including system design, analysis, architecture, and engineering; programming, designing, analyzing, coding, implementation, documentation, and testing.

Have experience on an agile team and adhere to agile methodologies; creating project work estimates.

Implementing solutions and identifying operational or management issues

Systems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface development

Utilizing available commercial off the shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary system

Knowledge of current Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range : $118504 - $201457. Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
