Process Server I -Victim Witness Process Service Unit

Position Overview :
The Process Server position in the Victim Witness Process Service Unit requires serving personal service subpoena requests and Subpoena Duces Tecums to various addresses throughout Miami-Dade County. The work schedule for this position is 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m. with a possible Saturday rotation. Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule.
The Job Responsibilities are :
- Serving subpoenas and court summons
- Locating witnesses who have moved and / or are avoiding participating in the felony criminal court system
- Updating the Subpoena Program with the return of service
- Completing monthly Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Completing Daily Activity Reports
- Working closely with the Unit Paralegals to obtain better contact information
- Performing other related duties as assigned
The Minimum Requirements are :
High School Diploma or its equivalentOne (1) year of law enforcement investigation or related work experienceMust have a valid Florida Driver License, possess a very good driving record and meet the requirements of the State Attorney’s Office Driving PolicyMust have knowledge of the geographical layout of Miami-Dade CountyThe Preferred Qualifications and Skills are :
