Drafter

Aloha! One of Hawaii's largest utility companies is seeking a Drafter to join their team. The main duty of this role will be to assist the Telecommunications team by drafting precise documents / drawings to help turn the ideas of engineers and architects into precise instructions for construction and manufacturing. He / she will mainly be using Microsoft Visio and Bluebeam. MicroStation experience is a bonus. A lot of the company's technical drawings are on MicroStation but the intent is to consolidate all documents into Microsoft Visio. Additionally, he / she will be adding files to a document management application, ProjectWise.

• Core Responsibilities
• Use CAD software to translate sketches or concepts from architects and engineers into accurate technical plans
• Calculate dimensions, materials, and procedures, ensuring drawings meet industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to redefine designs and resolve technical issues.
• Basic Qualifications :
• Microsoft Visio and Bluebeam proficient.
• Prior utility experience with civil drafting (infrastructure), or electrical drafting (wiring systems)
• Knowledge and / or experience with ProjectWise is preferably, but not required.
• Work Environment

This position is set to start off as on-site, but has the potential to become mainly hybrid thereafter.

This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00 / hr.
