Superintendent
We are seeking a dedicated Superintendent to effectively manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution from start to finish. The Superintendent will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, monitoring costs, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Responsibilities :
- Apprise project management of assigned project's progress, issues, and concerns.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and company field personnel to mobilize and administer efforts throughout the life of the project.
- Control changes to the cost baseline and monitor cost performance to detect variances.
- Maintain the project's schedule by determining appropriate resources, quantities, and availability.
- Prepare three-week look-ahead and long lead item schedules.
- Notify management if events beyond company's control negatively impact the schedule.
- Manage all aspects of subcontractors and provide direction for the close-out documents.
- Obtain all certificates and conduct all final inspections prior to project close-out.
- Oversee quality assurance activities for continuous process improvement.
- Provide accurate invoicing and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Provide direction to the Project Engineer and maintain priority on critical path items.
- Implement all applicable safety guidelines, adhering to the company's safety policy.
Essential Skills :
OSHA 30 certification.USACE experience.Quality control and QCM expertise.10+ years of proven experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager.Demonstrated job knowledge and timely decision-making using sound judgment.Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze information and make recommendations.Competency in meeting established goals while ensuring work quality.Ability to take independent actions and calculated risks.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and project management software.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or similar field is preferable.Experience with Federal construction projects is a plus.Work Environment :
The role requires the ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions such as cold, heat, and humidity on a regular, daily basis.The position involves standing, climbing, bending, and stooping regularly.A valid driver's license is necessary, along with the ability to operate a personal vehicle.The Superintendent must also be willing to travel for temporary contract assignments.Job Type & Location :
