Sales Engineer - HVAC Controls

As a Sales Engineer you will estimate, quote, negotiate, and sell temperature controls jobs and change orders on negotiated, design build, and plan and specification jobs in a timely , profitable, and responsive manner. This is a highly technical role with an opportunity to combine your technical skills, sales experience, and passion for creating solutions for new customers.

What you'll do as a Sales Engineer :

• Drive company growth by aggressively hunting and leveraging relationships to provide HVAC controls related solutions to customers ; focused on new installation, construction, retrofit, and design / build opportunities.
• Develop and expand long-term customer relationships with building owners, consulting engineers, and construction contractors to ensure c ustomer satisfaction.
• Perform presentations, job-walks, take-offs, estimates, budgets & proposals to promote our products, services, and solutions.
• Demonstrate an understanding of our industry including HVAC, controls, mechanical, and electrical along with an aptitude for information technology, software, and networking .
• Responsible for complete sales cycle to include sourcing, proposal generation, bidding, closing, and follow-up for customer satisfaction and retention.
• Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.) to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunities.
• Achieve annual sales and gross margin targets.
• Actively participate in industry activities such as trade shows, conferences, factory trips, and manufacturer training.
• Energetically take part in sales training and development programs (Sandler Selling Method).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
