BASIC FUNCTION :
The Hostler position basic functions are to perform routine cleaning, fueling, and servicing functions on company vehicles and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Drive vehicles to and from buildings through fueling and wash areas; probe and vault cashboxes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform general housekeeping tasks on company owned vehicles as assigned.
- Servicing buses and service vehicles nightly, probing and vaulting, Cashboxes, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning windows, washing roofs and dusting ledges and seats.
- Check vehicles fluids and replenish them with coolant, transmission fluid power steering fluid, diesel, gasoline and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
- Perform checks and visual inspection on company vehicles and prepare written reports on malfunction or defects such as wheels, tires, lights and body damages.
- Helps with building and grounds including, but not limited to, snow removal, mowing grass, weed trim, clean up shop and transfer facilities to ensure safe work environment.
- Put away parts / or building supplies. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand and practice all safety rules and OSHA regulations, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Medium work with exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical activity includes, but not limited to : utilize repetitive movements of walking, lifting, pushing, kneeling, snow shoveling.Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).Must submit to post offer pre-employment drug screen and participate in ongoing random drug and alcohol testing program. Safety Sensitive position .EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES :
High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)Must possess a valid Driver's license.Understand and practice all safety rules, PPE, and OSHA regulations.Establish and maintain effective working relations with coworkers.Follow written and oral instructions.Write clear documentation on reports.Self-motivation to keep at the task.Mechanical ability desirable.ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS :
Duties will be performed indoors, outdoors and in all weather conditions.Must be able to withstand environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, oil, gasoline, diesel, grease, fumes, wetness, and humidity.COMPENSATION :
