Front Office Medical Assistant

We are seeking a front office medical assistant to join a fast-paced oncology center. The ideal candidate will be experienced in front desk operations within a healthcare setting and well-versed in medical terminology. This role involves answering phones, charting, verifying insurance, and scheduling patients. The successful candidate will need to quickly adapt and perform tasks independently without requiring repeated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and providing excellent customer service.
• Charting patient information accurately.
• Verifying insurance details for patients.
• Scheduling patient appointments efficiently.
• Providing administrative support as needed.
• Educating patients about procedures and care.
• Taking and recording blood pressure readings.
• Performing EKGs and other clinical tasks as required.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm or 7 : 30 am to 4 : 00 pm. The role offers exposure to patient care interactions and the opportunity to develop a deep level of empathy working with cancer patients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 / hr.
