Join a top 10 global integrated design firm in our Texas Buildings practice that provides architecture, buildings engineering, and interior design services with a long history and deep commitment to the education sector. Our Austin office is seeking a project architect to join our Buildings practice. The successful candidate will be developing elevations, sections, 3d renderings, and architectural details for projects. You will be assisting on innovative and creative new prototypes designed with sustainable products with green architecture sensibility as your goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Passionate about designing K-12 education environments. Requisite knowledge and application of accessibility codes, applicable building codes. Detailed understanding of all phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. General knowledge of building construction systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards. Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program. To develop floor plans, wall sections, and details. To check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule. To participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of architectural document production. To engage in creative and critical thought. To hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively. To interpret sketches, drawings, building program, and other similar material. To communicate abstract ideas (verbal / written). Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, Sefaira, and Bluebeam.
Education and Experience
Master's degree in architecture or bachelor's degree in support of licensure criteria required. Registered architect in Texas preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred. Architectural experience in education a plus. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred. Please include a copy of your portfolio along with your resume for consideration. Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
