Requirements :
Crownview Co-Occurring Institute is looking for highly motivated full time Medical Assistant for a fast-paced mental health / substance abuse treatment facility to assist the Nurse Practitioner with scheduling patient's treatments, administering oral and injectable medications, invoicing treatments, collecting payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Scribe and communicate pertinent information to / from providersObtain medication authorizations and appealsMedication refills / requests with local pharmacy staffAdminister oral and inject-able medicationsDocument all medication updates / changes in Electronic Health RecordsAttention to detail with the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of othersExcellent communication skills, positive customer service skills, strong time management skillsMust have reliable transportationAssists in other Administrative Department tasks / duties as necessaryInventory management experienceHigh level of professionalismData Entry, Excel, and POS skills (1-2 years)Required Knowledge and Skills :
Experience in giving injectionsBasic insurance knowledge is requiredUpbeat, positive and professional attitudeFlexible to take on new responsibilities / tasks as they comeKnowledge and desire to learn about insurance, Medication and prior authorizations.Microsoft Excel and WordElectronic Health Record experience preferred2+ years in the medical field, Mental Health experience preferredUnderstand and comply with HIPAA and maintain professionalism at all times.CPR and First Aid Certification Required.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma or equivalent.
