Salary : $14-$20
Position Summary : The dental assistant will assist the dentist in both administrative and clinical duties including : preparing patient for procedure or exam, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, and assisting during dental procedures. This role will also provide patient support services including providing care instructions, medical attention, and emotional support.

Actively provide instruments and materials to dentist during exams and procedures in order to help maintain patient comfort and dentist's efficiency Assist with dental and medical emergencies according to OSHA and office proceduresAssist chair side during administration of nitrous oxideInstruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programsMake preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study castsClean and polish removable appliancesTake and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patientsRecord treatment information in patient recordsExpose dental diagnostic x-raysMust always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative mannerMust maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policiesMust be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignmentsMust be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settingsOther duties and tasks, as assigned periodicallyWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements :
Standing and walking 80%Sitting 20%Moderate noise levels from dental and other lab equipmentMedical, office, and lab settingMinimum lifting requirements of 35 pounds in order to transfer equipment and pack and unpack supplies.Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to examine and service patients.Benefits :
