Depending on the dates requested by everyone and personal preference, the call is taken 1-2 weeks at a time. So whoever is on call will take calls for all the other doctors and NP's that come in after hours. Calls tend to come from patients, but on occasion might come from another physician like in the ED if there is a question regarding a clinic patient, sometimes the pharmacy can call.
