About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chair for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. The successful candidate will be a mission-driven physician leader responsible for leading and growing the department, as well as assisting in the development of a new residency program. This role also involves advancing excellence in diagnosis, treatment, research, and education. The Chair will serve as a clinical partner with the academic institution, and candidates for this position should be prepared for the opportunity to take on the role of the Academic Department Chair at the Phoenix Campus. Applicants must have an MD or DO medical degree from an accredited school, a minimum of 5 years of documented leadership experience, and Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery. The ideal candidate will be a confident, visionary leader with strong clinical and leadership skills, a commitment to academics, and a deep understanding of community practice and integrated care. Personal characteristics should include the ability to inspire and advance collaborative relationships, a mission-driven approach, and a style grounded in partnering, collegiality, and consensus building. The Chair should also be sensitive to local community health needs and be prepared to play a visible role in the community in support of the organization's mission and vision.
