  • Install, configure, and maintain database systems, including but not limited to MSSQL and MySQL
  • Create and manage database schemas, tables, indexes, and other database objects
  • Perform regular database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
  • Implement and maintain database security, including user access management, data encryption, and backups
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks, errors, and data inconsistencies
  • Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient and scalable database solutions
  • Perform data migrations, transformations, and integrations between different database systems
  • Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies and best practices
  • Automation of data ingest and cleanup and more
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Times10, NoSQL, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • Solid understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning techniques
  • Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes
