Summary :
The Terminal Operator will be responsible for a variety of work assignments across the Nederland Terminal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitie s :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below :
- Must be able to train, qualify and relieve as a rail operator, dockworker, bunker operator, “C” operator and perform maintenance duties as directed.
- Required to fill vacancies when qualified in multiply job classifications.
- Normally works a floating, rotating shift and the assigned shift is routinely subject to change.
- The employee is expected to work overtime and will be subject to call out.
- Must perform work assignments safely and effectively.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather and be able to climb stairs, ladders and gangways.
- Must be able to learn API and marine procedures regarding measurement and sampling

High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Process Operations Technology preferred.Must be proficient in basic mathematical calculations and have good verbal and written communication skills.Requires prolonged walking, sitting, bending, stooping and telephone / radio communications.Must be able to work in severe weather conditions.Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and pounds occasionally.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Requires on-call availability at all hours.Requires ability to respond to emergencies at all hours.Maintain a valid driver’s license for the state of residence.Working Conditions :
