- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and router instructions
- Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Setup and machine parts to blueprints and / or work instructions
- Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
- Act as in process inspector where required
- Cross train in other areas of machines shop
- Generate Non-conforming Material Reports as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Communicate issues to supervisor
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on Lathe equipment.
- Monitor consumable supply levels and communicate shortages
- Performs daily and regular cleaning on machinery and equipment.
- Provides unbiased, proactive feedback to Engineering / Programming for process improvements.
- Must adhere to & support safe work environment policies & 6S & lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to work OT as needed to support the business (includes weekends)
