Family Planning Nurse Practitioner

The Community Health Center of Buffalo, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is actively seeking an experienced Family Planning Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients at our modern facility. • Minimum Qualifications :
• Licensed NYS, board-certified, Registered Professional Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience as a Family Planning Provider, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with eClinical Works is preferred.
• Qualifications :
• Active Nurse Practitioner license
• Certification in Family / Adult Health Nurse Practitioner
• In-depth knowledge of family planning and contraceptive methods
• Excellent communication and counseling skills
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate and nonjudgmental care
• Responsibilities :
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for individuals seeking family planning services
• Develop personalized family planning strategies based on individual patient needs
• Educate patients on various contraceptive options, including benefits and potential side effects
• Prescribe medications and contraceptives as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations governing family planning services
