Engineering Technician

As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in building and testing prototypes, conducting mechanical testing, and collaborating with a dedicated R&D team. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to enhance surgical procedures and patient recovery.

Responsibilities

Build and test prototypes and fixtures with precision.
Conduct mechanical testing using custom setups.
Measure components accurately using hand tools and optical systems.
Collect and analyze data from system testing, including simulated tissue.
Document all procedures, results, and materials used meticulously.
Maintain lab cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols.
Collaborate with R&D engineers and provide constructive feedback on improvements.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in assembly using hand tools and bench equipment to build prototypes and fixtures.

Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and training available for optical systems (OGP).

Proficient in maintaining detailed records of test methods, results, and materials.

Ability to organize and interpret test data using Excel.

Strong communication skills for updating supervisors and collaborating with engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma required.

3+ years of mechanical assembly experience required.

1+ year of experience in the medical device field is preferred.

Experience with tensile testing, soldering, and OGP systems is beneficial.

GDP / GLP training is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00 / hr.
