Engineering Technician

Join our innovative team in developing groundbreaking surgical devices that improve patient outcomes. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in building and testing prototypes, conducting mechanical testing, and collaborating with a dedicated R&D team. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to enhance surgical procedures and patient recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Build and test prototypes and fixtures with precision.
  • Conduct mechanical testing using custom setups.
  • Measure components accurately using hand tools and optical systems.
  • Collect and analyze data from system testing, including simulated tissue.
  • Document all procedures, results, and materials used meticulously.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with R&D engineers and provide constructive feedback on improvements.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in assembly using hand tools and bench equipment to build prototypes and fixtures.
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and training available for optical systems (OGP).
  • Proficient in maintaining detailed records of test methods, results, and materials.
  • Ability to organize and interpret test data using Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for updating supervisors and collaborating with engineers.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience required.
  • 1+ year of experience in the medical device field is preferred.
  • Experience with tensile testing, soldering, and OGP systems is beneficial.
  • GDP / GLP training is preferred.
  • Work Environment

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00 / hr.
