Position Summary
This position is a working supervisor role responsible for daily supervision of driver recruiting and compliance team to ensure timely and compliant completion of driver starts and driver qualification (DQ) files and related onboarding activities.
Essential Functions
- Supervise the recruitment and driver compliance teams to achieve hiring and performance targets.
- Facilitate daily feedback and resolution on :
Drivers starts and classroom training
Escalations or day to day questions on the recruitment process pre and post offerErrors or issues that require investigation to determine root cause and solutions during file reviews including overseeing the adverse action processMetrics and dashboard oversight for recruiting driver offers, starts, DQ file processing in alignment with time, accuracy and regulatory complianceResponsible for overseeing the talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, training, and development of the team.Consult with Director to ensure staffing is aligned with the workforce plan and related business needs to obtain goal achievement for both driver starts and compliance metricsCollaborate with operation and safety teams to align recruiting efforts with division needsQualify the driver candidate in accordance with regulations (company, FMCSA and DOT)Ensure driver onboarding activities and safety class travel arrangements are communicated to operations and safety leadership.Monitor Tenstreet (ATS) to ensure candidates are transitioning smoothly through the application process; identify and address bottlenecks in the process.Provide weekly updates on recruiter outputs for offers, starts, and call volume on Recruiting Dashboard and DQ file processing metrics on Compliance Dashboard.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in related field preferred3 years of transportation industry experience preferably in recruitment of drivers (tank haulers a plus)At least one year must be within the last 12 months.
3 years leadership, mentorship or management experience preferredKnowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulationsProficiency in ATS systems preferably Tenstreet or driver recruitment platformsAnalytical mindset with ability to leverage and report recruiting data and adjust strategies accordinglyCustomer focused mindset with results-oriented leadership approach toward goal obtainmentProficient with Microsoft SuiteExcel for recruiting metrics, building dashboards and analyzing dataTeams for virtual meetings and collaboration sessions / chatsOutlook for management of internal / external email communications, meeting invites and calendar managementOne Drive / SharePoint for secure document management and compliance record keepingNote : The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
