Outpatient Phlebotomy Technician Position Summary

The Outpatient Technician interacts with patients and other health-care providers to collect, transport and / or process blood and other body fluids from a full spectrum of the patient population. He / she performs EKG procedures in conjunction with the Department of Cardiology. He / she participates in educational and training activities and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non-routine technical functions.

Outpatient Phlebotomy Technician Position Requirements

Education

• Successful completion of an approved training program consisting of both lectures and practical application in phlebotomy or comparable education or experience.
• Will be trained in house to perform EKG functions.
