Job Description :

Experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) with solid experience supporting DB2 v10 (or higher) on an IBM z / OS platform. Primary responsibilities include working with application development teams to install and migrate releases, support execution of data fixes, define new and execute databases recovery functions, definition and execution of standard database tuning procedures (e.g., runstats, reorgs).

Primary Responsibilities :

The target systems are PMS and PPMS, the City's payroll and pension payroll applications.

• Ensure that all installation, configuration, and tuning of DB2 databases are completed efficiently
• uthor and validate procedures for all database processes
• Identify potential issues and deliver modifications / updates for DB2 programs
• Communicate with and deliver to Tech Support all elements to be migrated with specific instructions to be performed during the production migration
• ssisting the Systems areas with tool upgrades and participating in Disaster Recovery drills.

Required Skills :

Education :

Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science or in a Technical / Business Discipline is required.
