Community Interface Services has been a leading nonprofit in the disability service sector since 1983. Our mission is to provide quality, individualized, community-based support and training in employment, housing, community living, and other related services to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a part-time Job Coach to join our dynamic team! If you are interested in breaking into social services or passionate about helping your community, this may be the position for you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Job Coach you will be working one-on-one with adults with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities who are currently employed. You will observe your clients as they work and provide feedback or prompts for improving their work skills. You will be a key support in helping someone learn new skills, navigate difficult situations in the workplace, advocate for any accommodations needed, and facilitate the relationship between the employer and your client.
The expected schedule for the caseload is Monday-Saturday from 10 AM through 2 PM and working within the areas of Pacific Beach and surrounding neighborhoods. This role would suit anyone seeking experience within social services, case management, or nonprofit work while attending school or fitting within other responsibilities.

This position earns a starting range of $21.50-23.50 per hour, and to sweeten the deal, you can also earn a $1 per hour pay increase after completing a six-month development and performance program! Qualifications
To be successful at our nonprofit, you'll need to possess a unique set of skills and qualities : exceptional customer service skills resourcefulness, and teaching skills. You will need to have a car in safe working order, vehicle insurance, a valid CA driver's license, at least 2 years of driving experience, and the ability to pass a background check. A high school diploma is required for this position, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Another plus is having experience with the I / DD community!
