Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description : The CMM Programmer / Final Inspector is responsible for CMM programming, setup, and inspection of manufactured product to verify conformance to customer drawings, specifications, and standards. Conduct first article activities, including correlations, first piece, incoming, in-process and final inspection. Report results in a timely manner which fully describes the component part, sub-assembly, and finished product as required. This position is Mon-Fri 7 : 30 – 4.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Experience with CMM or programming and operation; especially with Hexagon CMM (PC-DMIS).
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings / Specifications / Standards and assess conformity of product.
  • Practical knowledge of measures and dimensions such as length, height, and distance between reference points,
  • Advanced experience with using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, verniers, dial indicator, profilometer, and comparator, height gage, pin gages, plug / thread gages, radius gages to assess part conformity.
  • Ability to assess inspection and test results for compliance with customer drawings and specifications to ensure that only acceptable product moves forward in the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently as needed.
  • Reports to Quality Manager and may work with appropriate functional areas to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years Aerospace / Manufacturing quality inspection experience
  • 2+ years operating experience of CMM machines, preferably Hexagon
  • 2 years or working knowledge and experience with GD&T
  • Ability to program CMM inspection routines using PC-DMIS a plus.
  • 2 years manufacturing experience; familiar with ISO9001 / AS9100 a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, word, etc.)
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S Citizen or a U.S Permanent Resident
  • Requirements :

  • Stand continuously – 8-12 hours daily
  • Lift occasionally – up to 50 lbs.
  • Walk frequently – 4-8 hours daily
  • Push / Pull, Reach above, bend / stoop, fine manipulation – Occasionally
