Overview : A leading organisation in the healthcare industry is seeking a Clinical Medical Physicist to join its advanced radiation therapy team in Newport News, VA .
This role is ideal for an experienced physicist who is ABR certified and has substantial experience in Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Elekta Gamma Knife Icon systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct physics consultation to radiation oncologists and attending physicians
- Design and implement treatment plans for SRS / Gamma Knife procedures
- Supervise and perform QA for SRS / SBRT simulations and treatments
- Coordinate imaging and planning with neurosurgeons and oncology teams
- Perform and manage regulatory and technical QA tasks across treatment equipment
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging, simulation, and treatment systems
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and professional regulations
- Actively contribute to quality improvement and problem-solving in complex patient cases
