Molding Technician / Process Tech
This is a contract position with an opportunity to be hired full-time.
Integrity Trade Services is partnering with a local utility company to hire a Molding Technician.
Experienced in overseeing comprehensive job start-up procedures, ensuring seamless transitions from last good part to first good part by coordinating tooling, material readiness, auxiliary equipment setup, and operator training. Skilled in facilitating new product introductions, including mold trials and experiment design in collaboration with engineering teams. Proficient in capturing and analyzing input / output data to support process development.
Strong background in monitoring production performance and driving process optimization through data collection, statistical analysis, and capability studies. Proven ability to identify scrap trends, evaluate secondary operation constraints, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Pareto analysis and root cause identification to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Pay Rate : $26 – $35 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities :
- The Process Technician will set up and approve processes for scheduled production on plastic injection-molding machines.
- Sets machine controls and regulates / monitors molding temperature, volume of plastic, molding pressure and time, according to standard molding procedures and company-based practices.
- Ensures correct & approved materials are being used for production by referencing WO BOM.
- Establishes, maintains and measures the set points & process outputs to produce a quality part at the approved optimum cycle.
- Maintain quality parts according to approved cycle time, control plan, part print dimensions and validates date stamp.
- Routinely inspects products once released for production.
- Electronically records process inputs & outputs in order to produce a repeatable and transferable process, and to enable optimizations and value engineering.
- Responsible for New Product / Process Development and working alongside Quality Department to facilitate PPAP Process.
- Runs material testing trials for alternate / secondary resin approval process. Report all findings and observations.
- Signs off on Production Articles for production staff to use as aesthetic / quality reference in accordance with approved First Article at start up.
- Collects / Retains Samples to be submitted to customers for FAI and Approval in accordance with QA Department.
- Retain / label samples from “last untrimmed shots” before mold changes.
- Ensures all aspects related to operating supplies, work instructions, packaging, drilling operations, and poke yokes are in place before releasing production approval.
- Documents all scrap produced at Start Up / Color Change.
- Monitors Scrap Rates throughout production or at conclusion of job, generating mold performance reports and pareto data to help guide / focus improvement plans.
- Ensures Scheduled Production Work Orders are started in Mattec in before beginning production.
- Ability to calculate & mix material blend ratios as needed for testing / production.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plastic injection molding defects within capability of tool.
- Effectively communicate processing / tool capability concerns with management.
- Leads as an example for production staff and assists in staff training and development.
- Assists Quality Departments in auditing all Operational Processes pertinent to Assured Quality & FFF of product.
- Ability to conduct and record Preventative Maintenance on Molds in production.
- Works collaborative with Tooling / Set Up Department to ensure all Molds are Labeled with ID Numbers, Utility, and Auxiliary Equipment Information.
- Update Tooling Tracker status.
- Other duties as may be directed by supervisors.
Qualifications :
Education : High School diploma / GED is required.Experience : 3+ years of Experience in the fields of : Manufacturing, Molding, Process Technician.Knowledge of Scientific Molding Principles and RJG Courses : Master Molder Preferred.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnelTeam / Interpersonal skills / Values :

Regular exposure to dust, fumes, odors, and warm temperatures.
Working in narrow spaces behind machines.
PPE must be worn at all times—loose clothing, jewelry, and cell phones are not permitted on the production floor.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to see objects clearly at a close distance (3 Feet or less). Corrective lenses permissible.Ability to see clearly objects at a distance (50 feet or more); Corrective lenses permissible.Ability to distinguish between and among colors; i.e. red flashing light. Ability to exercise depth perception to determine space and distance relationships.Ability to exercise peripheral vision to be aware of objects within a large area while eyes are focused on.Ability to hear in one or both ears so that verbal communication can be received, understood and acted upon either face to face or over an overhead paging systems.Ability of olfactory nerves to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to origin and level of intensity, and to tolerate potentially obnoxious smells.Ability to control and utilize fingers in a dexterous and coordinated manner for such activities as writing, typing, keyboarding, trimming parts, packings, labeling, operating equipment etc.Ability to use body parts on a regular and continuing basis to repeat the same motions between breaks and / or over the course of the shift without resting; i.e. standing on feet, or using muscles, fingers, hands, arms, elbows, legs, knees, back and neck.Teamwork & Company Culture :
