Job Summary :

Top Retail company based in Darien, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and keeping financial records organized. The ideal candidate will work closely with department managers, vendors, and the finance team to support efficient daily operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review, scan, code, and process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
• Receive and distribute mail to appropriate departments or managers.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure all W-9s and documentation are up to date.
• Prepare weekly check runs, bill payments, and assist with payment scheduling.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve billing issues.
• Support month?end close processes and assist with audits as required.
• Maintain accurate financial reports, records, and filing systems.
• Identify and recommend improvements to increase efficiency within accounts payable processes.
