Position Overview :

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair projects of electrical systems and components specifically focused on the Telecommunications, Wireless, Utility and UPS markets.

Reporting Relationship : The Apprentice Electrician will report to the Service Manager

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Ability to take direction from Journeyman Electrician
• Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
• Perform the installation of transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment
• Perform installations of backup generator systems
• Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems
• Read electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics.
• Develops strong line of communication with Electrical Manager / Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service
• Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and / or verbal instructions
• Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring / testing instruments such a multi-meter
• Perform other duties and assignments as necessary
