Overview
The Assistant Manager Community Based Services will be responsible for oversight of community-based services provided in the respective service area and ensuring that services provided meet or exceed established standards. This position actively participates in identifying and implementing quality improvement opportunities for respective area and collaborates with other Abbe Center departments agencies and community partners to provide high quality person-centered services. This position provides supervision to Community Based Services Supervisors.

Responsibilities
Provides oversight direction and technical assistance regarding program policies procedures standards rules regulations and plans to ensure quality services to the clients served in respective service area.
Coordinates compliance training and oversees Quality Assurance activities as assigned by the Manager of Community Based Services.
Monitors program census and identifies intake needs to meet or exceed identified occupancy goals.
Assigns new client intakes as needed to ensure program census is maintained.
Ensures timely and accurate payroll completion for all programs in assigned service area.
Assists Supervisor of Community Based Services with recruitment hiring and evaluation of community-based services staff as needed.
Works with Supervisors to develop objective performance measurements across all programs in respective service area to ensure consistent high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees.
Participate in the development of orientation programs for new staff and ensures orientation is completed consistently and timely.
Reviews staff rounding and stay interviews to identify program needs. Communicates needs with Manager Community Based Services and assists with development and implementation of creative solutions.
Ensures that regularly scheduled purposeful rounding and stay interviews are completed with all staff in respective service area.
Participates in the development of quality improvement measures for community-based services.
Participates on internal quality improvement and Medicaid Integrity program committees to ensure implementation of and oversight of policies and procedures related to corporate compliance and Medicaid integrity compliance where applicable.
Assists with developing implementing and evaluating program improvement activities.
Responds to audits and works collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Program Coordinator to gather requested materials.
Reports to Manager Community Based Services.
Cultivates existing relationships and acts as a liaison with community agencies with the goal of ensuring resources and access to services.
Assists Supervisor Community Based Services with recruitment hiring and disciplinary action for team members as needed.
Collaborates with centralized intake team to identify census needs and changes including anticipated discharges openings and admissions.
Participates as Abbe Center and community committees as assigned.
Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for the professional development needs of all staff.
Provides training to Supervisors related to policy and procedure changes and ensures that training is provided to all staff.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in a human service-related field. Required
At least one year of experience working in a human service-related field. Required
At least one year of experience working in Medicaid Waiver programs. Preferred
At least one year of prior leadership experience. Preferred
Iowa Drivers License
