As a Robotic Welder , you'll be responsible for applying welding and fabricating processes to metal and ensuring quality and customer standards are met. This is a first-shift position, with hours from 4 a.m. to 2 : 30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Apply appropriate welding and assembly applications in a fabrication environment and process metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Work according to layouts, work orders, and blueprints for robotic welding equipment. You will need to lay out and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies and position pieces to be welded into jigs and fixtures using measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
- Observe all standard safety practices and maintain and complete all required records.
- Work in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Successfully pass a skills-based assessment that evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.A minimum of three years of experience in a steel or industrial manufacturing setting is preferred.Extensive MIG welding experience and TIG welding experience are preferred.Robotic welding experience is required.Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes .Physical ability to pass a physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $21.00 - $25.00
