Established in 1937, the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) is a national leader in providing safe, healthy and affordable housing options for the Austin community. Austin Pathways is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Community Development Intern to support grants management and administrative activities. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and eager to learn how strong documentation and operational systems build trust with funders and support mission-driven work. HACA has been a leader in affordable housing in the City of Austin for more than 85 years. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, local government entities, and numerous non-profit agencies, HACA provides access to safe, stable housing to over 20,000 individuals.
What you will do in this position :
This hands-on internship offers a valuable introduction into day-to-day non-profit operations with a focus on grants management. Learn the full grant lifecycle-from opportunity research and application preparation to documentation, compliance, and reporting. It's an excellent fit for students or recent graduates interested in non-profit management, public policy, public administration, or macro-level social work.
