Assists with monitoring,supervision, and site management of the facility and grounds. Performs clerical duties; completes reports and required recordkeeping; responds to public inquiries; uses computer for processing registrations, permits, and fees; evaluates various games, sports, programs, and events; sets up and takes down program equipment; ensures sport providers are compliant with permit requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification supplemented by two (2) years of college-level coursework (must specify 60-semester / 90-quarter hours) in Recreation, Education, Health and Physical Education, or closely related field; minimum of eight (8) months of experience working with children in a recreation or physical education program. Equivalency : Graduation from high school / equivalent and 18 months of related experience.
Necessary Special Requirement : Must possess current First Aid / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification at time of hire (Copy of Certification must be attached to Profile / resume) OR obtain within six (6) months of hire.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE : Working with adults / youth / teens; providing information; resolving customer concerns / complaints. Also desirable : Bi / trilingual (English / Spanish / Creole).
