Our Company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician for our Affordable Community The Studio at ThinkEast of 181 units in Austin Texas.

Job Type : Full-Time

Job Description Summary :

The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance in individual apartments common areas and amenity areas. Prepares vacant units for new move-ins. Performs routine preventive maintenance. Assists in various cleaning functions and assists in monitoring the grounds. Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities :

• Maintains and repairs buildings : areas of responsibility include but are not limited to : electrical plumbing carpentry HVAC landscaping painting cleaning appliances pools utilities elevators fencing / gates and fire systems.
• Responsible for completing all service requests / work orders at the direction of the maintenance supervisor or property manager as required within 24 hours.
• Complete apartment service tickets and log all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Manage vacant apartments by preparing them through the turnover process so apartments are ready to lease to new prospects. The work includes the maintenance of the unit painting cleaning and carpet cleaning.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses wiring and belts in machines and equipment such as truck street sweeper and other equipment used within the maintenance department.
• Assists in ordering supplies for the property.
• Cleans internal and external areas of buildings including dusting sweeping and mopping washes windows.
