Salary : $1,250–$1,450 per week

Position Overview

CK Transportation is seeking professional Class A CDL drivers who are committed to consistent performance and dependable service. This position is based in Laredo, Texas, and supports nationwide operations across all 48 states. Drivers follow a structured rhythm of 12 days on the road with a scheduled 48-hour reset every other weekend. This schedule is designed to provide balance, predictability, and steady earning potential while maintaining the efficiency required for long-haul freight operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Drivers in this role manage long-distance routes that average between 700 and 750 miles per trip. Each assignment emphasizes efficient planning, timely delivery, and adherence to safety procedures. Freight is no-touch, allowing drivers to remain focused on driving rather than loading or unloading. Drop and hook procedures are utilized to help reduce delays and support continuous movement throughout the work cycle. Drivers also complete routine documentation and follow company and federal guidelines to ensure compliant and reliable transportation of goods. Orientation for new drivers is provided with paid travel, meals, and single-occupancy lodging to support a smooth transition.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must possess an active Class A CDL and have a minimum of three months of recent tractor-trailer driving experience. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a performance-based environment that values time management, consistency, and professionalism. Strong communication, reliability, and safe driving habits are essential for success within this role.

Equipment and Operational Support

CK Transportation provides modern, well-maintained trucks from manufacturers such as Freightliner, Kenworth, International, and Volvo. Each truck includes automatic transmission, APUs, a 1500-watt inverter, refrigerator, and mounts suitable for a TV and microwave. Drivers may take their assigned truck home when off duty or utilize designated terminal locations, depending on preference and route structure.
