Associate Attorney - Life Sciences (Mid-Level) (PSAO)

A Mid-Level Litigation Attorney for our Life Sciences team is sought for Frier Levitt's Pine Brook, NJ, office.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities :

• Review and negotiate contracts between pharmacies or Pharmacy Services Administrative Organizations (PSAOs) and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs)
• Analyze drug benefit reimbursement rates and PBM network / plan terms
• Review, analyze, and index complex contracts in healthcare and life sciences  setting
• Communicate with clients regarding factual investigations, case strategy, and matter status, including written analyses and status updates
• Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery, including objections and responses
• Preparing deposition outlines and deposition exhibits
• Conducting and defending depositions of witnesses
• Prepare witness examinations, outlines, and exhibits for trials and hearings in court, arbitration, and before administrative agencies
• Argue motions and appear for hearings
• Appearing in court / arbitration for scheduling conferences and status conferences
• Interface with state boards and administrative agencies on regulatory and enforcement matters
• Developing strategies, drafting mediations statements, and appearing for mediations and settlement conferences
• Second-chair trials and final hearings in arbitration
