The Opportunity

Lesley University’s Department of Art & Design is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach : IDENS 1500 User Experience 1, Spring Semester 2026, Fully in-person, on-campus, Thursdays 8am to 11.45am

Course Description :

This course will provide students with an overview of User Experience (UX), design methods, and the role of research in designing for user experience. Through assignments, lectures, and discourse, students will engage in an industry-modeled process, including research, team / collaboration, stakeholder interviews, sketching, diagramming, and presenting. Students will experience various methods associated with producing design deliverables within the context of real world practice.

Qualities and Capabilities

A qualified candidate will have :

MFA or MDES in Graphic Design or related field (preferred)

2+ years of demonstrated successful teaching experience in design (or related field) at the undergraduate level OR 3+ years of professional experience working in the design / advertising field
