Director of Human Resources

Location : Greenwood Village, Colorado - 100% Onsite

Salary : Up to $180,000

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead the full HR function across a multi-site industrial organization with approximately 350 employees in the U.S. and Canada. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in operational environments and is passionate about building strong teams, driving cultural alignment, and shaping workforce strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, aligning HR strategy with business goals and long-term growth plans.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development across corporate, field, and manufacturing operations.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Oversee employee relations and labor relations, including union negotiations, grievance resolution, and labor-management collaboration.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions (OSHA, EEOC, etc.).

    • HR Operations & Systems

  • Drive operational excellence in compensation, benefits, performance management, and HRIS systems.
  • Implement data-driven HR processes and metrics to support decision-making and improve efficiency.

    • Team Development & Coaching

  • Lead and mentor a small HR team, fostering professional growth and building internal HR capabilities.
  • Promote leadership development and employee engagement initiatives that support retention and performance.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or SHRM-SCP / SPHR preferred)
  • 10-15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or mining sectors
  • Proven success managing unionized and non-unionized workforces across multiple sites
  • Expertise in labor negotiations, compliance, and organizational change
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
