Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of equipment and software related to the infrastructure of local-area and area-wide networks for the Town. This position is also responsible for providing technical support to staff for technology-related issues, and the supervision of employees.

Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and / or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated; safe driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving history.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain CJIS Level 4 Security Awareness Certification within six (6) months of hire.

Environment
Work is frequently performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but employees holding this position may be exposed to extreme cold or heat and wetness / humidity. The noise level in the office environment is low to moderate. The noise level in mechanical, server and other equipment rooms can be high and may range from moderate to extreme. The employee may occasionally work with or around hazardous items or hazardous conditions such as mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, chemicals, or radiant energy.
