We are seeking a skilled and experienced Television Broadcast Engineer with a strong background in Master Control operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting all broadcast and production equipment to ensure seamless operation of the television station.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of on-air signals and the overall broadcast chain.
• Operate and manage the Master Control Room (MCR) equipment, including video servers, automation systems, routers, and satellite receivers.
• Ensure the accurate playback of scheduled programs, commercials, and live broadcasts.
• Perform quality control checks on all content before airing to ensure it meets technical standards.
• Technical Support and Maintenance :
• Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment such as transmitters, video switchers, audio mixers, and cameras.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to broadcast equipment and IT systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and software updates on all broadcast and production equipment.
• Work closely with other departments to support their technical needs and ensure the smooth execution of productions.
• Documentation and Compliance :
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and industry standards.
• Keep detailed logs of broadcast events, technical issues, and resolution steps.
• Project Management :
• Assist in the planning and implementation of new broadcast technologies and projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs and upgrades.
• Participate in the design and construction of new broadcast facilities and systems.
• Training and Support :
• Provide training and technical support to other staff members on the use of broadcast equipment and systems.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the Master Control Room and other technical areas.
• Qualifications :
• Education and Experience :
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Master Control Room environment.
• Strong knowledge of broadcast standards, video and audio signal flow, and FCC regulations.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining broadcast equipment, including video servers, automation systems, and routing switchers.
• Experience with IP-based broadcast systems and IT networking.
• Familiarity with digital video formats, encoding, and streaming technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Other Skills and Abilities :

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift and move broadcast equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
