Senior Living Program Manager (Mental Health)
Position Overview
PeerStar LLC is expanding its peer support services through PeerStar Senior Living Solutions, targeting senior living environments such as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), adult day care centers, and similar settings. As the Program Manager you will serve as a dynamic leader and trusted advisor, blending program oversight with account executive responsibilities to hunt for new partnerships while maintaining and nurturing existing ones. Drawing from your expertise in peer support and mental health recovery, you will develop customized peer support solutions, generate referrals, drive program growth, and ensure high-quality, recovery-oriented services that empower seniors facing mental health or substance use challenges. You will collaborate with facility staff and internal teams to integrate peer specialists into operations, promoting hope, self-discovery, and community integration for residents.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
Identify and prospect new senior living facilities, SNFs, and adult day cares for potential partnerships, leveraging market analysis to develop targeted outreach strategies.
Generate referrals for PeerStar Senior Living Solutions by building relationships with facility leadership, physicians, and community stakeholders through sales calls, networking events, and presentations.
Create and implement plans to achieve quarterly sales goals set by leadership, tracking progress on new account acquisition and program expansion to grow PeerStar Senior Living Solutions’ presence in the senior living sector.
Lead onboarding of new partner sites by setting clear expectations through an execution framework shared with facility leadership, outlining daily, weekly, and monthly interactions, and providing a rollout timeline that includes staff education for facility and internal teams, coordination of dedicated facility staff hiring, and development of co-branded collateral and collaborative marketing opportunities.
Program Implementation & Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for both new and existing partner sites regarding PeerStar Senior Living Solutions programming.
Monitor service delivery metrics (engagement, participation, outcomes) and report performance to leadership, using data to inform growth opportunities.
Manage scheduling, logistics, and coordination to ensure consistent service availability at sites.
Conduct needs assessments at partner sites to identify opportunities for enhanced peer support activities and recommend program expansions.
Design and implement monthly wellness programming / activities (e.g., peer-led recovery workshops, mindfulness sessions, or social events) to enhance resident engagement, promote recovery, and increase program visibility and value within facilities.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior living / SNF leadership to drive adoption, retention, and referral growth for PeerStar Senior Living Solutions.
Address partner concerns promptly, escalating issues to leadership when needed, while ensuring customer satisfaction and nurturing long-term partnerships.
Deliver regular program updates, outcomes reporting, and value demonstrations to site administrators to support retention and upsell opportunities.
Participate in senior living industry events, conferences, and networking to promote PeerStar Senior Living Solutions and foster new collaborations.
Quality, Compliance & Reporting
Ensure fidelity to the PeerStar Senior Living Solutions program model and compliance with all regulatory / contractual requirements, including behavioral health standards.
Review program documentation and data for accuracy before submission, maintaining records for forecasting and reporting.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and service delivery.
Utilize data analytics to inform program enhancements, budgeting, planning, and sales strategies.
Team Collaboration (Not Direct Supervision)
Act as a bridge between CPS staff, CPSS supervisors, and organizational leadership, sharing feedback and insights without direct performance management responsibility.
Support staff development indirectly by communicating site needs, best practices, and training opportunities to leadership.
Coordinate peer specialist assignments in collaboration with CPSS roles to align with site requirements and support new account integrations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Certifications : Knowledge of mental health and substance use recovery models is essential; Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) in Pennsylvania is a plus but not required.
Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in peer support, mental health services, program management, or sales / account management. Experience in senior living settings (e.g., SNFs, adult day cares) or behavioral health preferred. Proven track record in business development, such as generating referrals or managing client relationships in healthcare services, is highly desirable. Experience designing or facilitating wellness programs or group activities is a plus.
Skills :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, alignment, and sales-driven relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability in program management and business development, with a focus on prospecting, multi-site coordination, and driving growth.
Ability to analyze market data, develop sales strategies, manage budgets, and track metrics for performance.
Familiarity with telehealth and virtual support tools to enhance accessibility and outreach.
Commitment to lived experience principles, with personal recovery journey a strong asset (in line with peer support ethos).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and electronic health record systems.
Other Requirements : Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits and outreach. Ability to pass Pennsylvania Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI background checks and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state guidelines. Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend hours based on facility or networking needs.
