Industrial Shadeports, Inc is searching for a full-time Construction Field Supervisor based out of our Fort Lauderdale location. This Position is responsible for the installation of Shade Covers and Shade Structures. The Field Supervisor is an integral part of our team! The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, be a team player, able to “hit the ground running” and have a get it done attitude. The role of Field Supervisor is critical to ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, work is completed on schedule, safely and achieving first time quality.

Construction Field Supervisor Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and supervise all construction, installation and repair activities.
• Be responsible for both the timeliness and total quality of assigned projects.
• Assists in the calculation of necessary materials and supplies for job sites.
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
• Maintains open, daily communications on projects to PM and administrative staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment per OSHA and company standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of field personnel.
• Review weekly crew timesheets and maintains appropriate work record-documents.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Attend meetings on and off-site as directed.
• Promotes safety practices and procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned as they may arise for Company.

Skills :

Strong communication skills required.

Communicate using the following tools : telephone, written logs, email, computer, digital camera.

Able to meet hard deadlines.

Must work well independently with direction.

Previous experience with canvas awnings, playgrounds, shade sails, custom engineered construction products and projects is preferred but not required.

Ability to create and maintain a team environment.

Compensation :

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

Industrial Shadeports is a full line manufacturer of Shade Structures and Shade Sails for the Municipal, Institutional, and Commercial markets. We are also a Certified General Contractor and self-perform all aspects of design, manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance, repair and replacement in our Fort Lauderdale facility. Requirements :

Construction : 5 years minimum (Required).

Field Superintendent / Supervision : 2 years minimum (Required).

A VALID, CLEAN FL driver's license is REQUIRED and reliable transportation (Required).

Work on Saturdays as needed.

Language : Fluent English (Required), Spanish helpful.

Willingness to travel to jobsites located within Florida.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (We use E-Verify).

Successful completion of pre-employment screening and drivers license check.
