Position Overview
The Safety Manager will oversee and continually improve safety programs across active construction sites in the Los Angeles and Burbank area. This individual will be responsible for implementing training, ensuring compliance with OSHA and Cal-OSHA standards, and cultivating a proactive safety culture company-wide. The ideal candidate is confident in the field, comfortable coaching teams, and passionate about preventing incidents before they happen.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the company’s safety program across multiple job sites.
- Conduct regular safety audits, jobsite inspections, and corrective action plans.
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee training.
- Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and root cause analyses.
- Partner with superintendents and project managers to drive safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal-OSHA, and project-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, certifications, and safety documentation.
- Act as a mentor and advocate for field crews, subcontractors, and management.
Qualifications / preferred :
Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction safety management .OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or similar credential preferred.Strong understanding of Cal-OSHA standards and field safety practices.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.Experience across school, public works, or commercial projects preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field a plus.Why Work Here
